Graphics, photo editing, print and web publishing classes include Basic Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Dreamweaver and Web Projects. Saturday Workshops provide short one-day sessions to explore Photoshop, InDesign, and Dreamweaver.
Microsoft Office products may include Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
BASIC COMPUTER LITERACY - Miller / Rosen
This course is for students with minimal experience who want to be introduced to the fundamentals of hardware and software, the Windows operating system, Internet, email, typing, and a sample of productivity applications.

Learn how to market artwork in the fine art or commercial art environments. Topics to be covered include setting up a business, copyrights, contracts, taxes, pricing, negotiations, presentation, and inter-personal public speaking.
Adobes Creative Suite software is the industry standard for today's creative technologies: print, web, illustration, digital photography, advertising, self-promotion, and more. With classes in Dreamweaver, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop, students will have a solid base on which to build their job skills and creativity. Certificates are offered in all Creative Suite classes.

ADOBE DREAMWEAVER CS6 - Level 2 - Quiñones
Pre-requisite: Dreamweaver Level 1. This course continues where the Level 1 class left off, refining those skills and introducing more features of Dreamweaver and front-end design/development techniques.
DREAMWEAVER WEBSITE IN A DAY - One-Day Saturday Workshop - Quiñones
Prerequisite: Proficiency in at least one Adobe Creative Suite program or consent of instructor. Create a simple website and basic site assets in one day.
ADOBE INDESIGN CS6 INTRO - One-Day Saturday Workshop - Smith
Prereq: Basic computer literacy is required. One session. Get an overview of the tools and possibilities of InDesign. After learning these basic functions, you will be able to complete simple projects.
ADOBE INDESIGN CS6 - Level I - Smith
Pre-req: Basic computer literacy is required. This course introduces a program for those who want to create high-quality publications from simple one-page fliers, newsletters and brochures, to multi-chapter books. As part of the Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign combines creative freedom and production power.
ADOBE INDESIGN CS6 - Level 2 - Smith
Prereq: Successful completion of InDesign Level 1. This course covers intermediate and advanced functions of InDesign. Certificate offered.
ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS6 (Extended version)
Photoshop is the industry standard in image editing software and is used in a variety of settings. Photoshop CS5 Levels 1 and 2 establish a strong foundation in preparation for the Adobe Certified Associate (ACA) exam, available through official testing agencies.

ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS6 - Level 1 - Smith / Silverberg
Prereq: Basic computer literacy is required. A strong beginning course covering basic functions, combining images, correcting tones, balancing color, and using special effects. BAS Certificate offered.
ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CS6 - Level 2 - Quiñones
Pre-req: Level 1 Photoshop or equivalent experience. Application of skills learned in beginning Photoshop class. BAS Certificate offered.
PHOTOSHOP IN THE WORKPLACE - Minor
Pre-req: Level 2 Photoshop or equivalent experience. A realistic look at skills needed in the digital workplace. Advanced projects include complex composites and an illustrated training manual eBook; production efficiency using templates, actions, layer comps, shortcuts; project management skills, timelines, team centered version control workflow; legal contracts and the new digital copyright process.

BUSINESS COMPUTER APPLICATIONS - MS OFFICE 2010 - Cordero / Miller / Rosen
Prerequisite: It is strongly recommended that students have completed Basic Computer Literacy or a computer skills equivalent program. This self-paced program of individualized instruction is geared to prepare students for using Microsoft Office 2010 applications in work settings. The class offers students the opportunity to learn skills beyond those of the typical home user. Students of all levels will be able to improve their marketability. Students can focus on any of the software programs in the Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook) with the support of the instructor. Microsoft Windows, file management, Internet, and keyboarding concepts will be taught as needed.
(No testing during first week of class, or during the first hour of a class.) Keyboarding certificates and/or Proficiency Rating Letter are available for a $20 Typing Test fee. Typing tests are given during the Business Computer Applications classes above. You do not need to register for the above class to take the typing test. Contact the school office for information.
SPREADSHEETS WITH MICROSOFT EXCEL Level 1 - Graves
Prereq: Basic computer literacy and the ability to type 25 wpm is required. This course covers fundamentals of MS Excel, including creating and formatting spreadsheets, working with formulas, functions, basic sorting, filtering and charts.
